Applied Torque is wrong
-
Looking at the Motor property Applied Torque ("torque applied to road"), it is sitting at 6,000Nm even with the vehicle sitting still. Shouldn't this be around 0? The value is updating, just not what I expect it to be.
-
Same thing for the ODE Wheel - Applied Torque is non-zero at rest, while Total Applied Torque is always zero.
-
This issue is essentially the same sort of issue as the engine torque issue discussed in https://anvelsim.com/topic/58/engine-load . What is currently being displayed is the maximum torque possible and not the instantaneous torque at that point in time.
However, this bug has been fixed and will be in the next version of ANVEL.

@ANVEL-Team Thanks for the update. When can we expect the next version of ANVEL to come out?

Hi rr,
Great question - we're currently targeting November 24th, so stay tuned!

@rr, if you haven't heard - ANVEL 2.5 is out now. It fixes the bug with the display of the Applied Torque value.
